When Taylor Swift released her album “Lover” in 2019, the world would soon discover it featured a group of kids few knew: the students at CMST. How did the kids from a Toronto music program end up on the biggest album of the year?

In 2018, we partnered with Toronto producer, Frank Dukes, and Kingsway Music Library to create a sample pack called “Parkscapes:” an album of sonic sketches played by the kids at CMST designed to be sampled by other musicians. To our surprise, “Summer in the South” from our album became “It’s Nice To Have A Friend” from Taylor’s “Lover” album.
