Fundraising

The goal is to raise $10,000 in support of CMST’s programs, via registration fees and with additional fundraising encouraged but not mandatory to participate. A personal goal of $500 per player in addition to registration fees is suggested, and we appreciate all efforts to reach it. Players can open a personal fundraising page (private or public) online to raise support by asking family, friends, coworkers and colleagues to donate. CMST will share a fundraising toolkit with players to get started!

About CSMT

Funds raised through Squash for CMST directly support free music education, instruments, and mentorship for 850+ young musicians ages 4-18 in our two music schools in Regent Park and Jane Finch, and in city partnerships for Indigenous youth at Kapapamahchakwew - Wandering Spirit School and youth involved in the justice system with WoodGreen.

Students who participate in classes at CMST face barriers in accessing music education – with the support of the donor community, we can ensure kids can participate in music to grow their creativity, self-esteem and connections to a vibrant community.

Our goal is to give young people a great music education that builds their confidence and aspirations to pave the way for a rewarding future and play a role in creating more socially just communities.
